By joining Couple Setu as a counsellor, you acknowledge that you are an independent professional and not an employee, agent, or representative of Couple Setu or Sango Life Sutra ("the Platform"). The Platform provides a technology-enabled marketplace that connects counsellors with clients. No employer-employee, partnership, or joint venture relationship is created.
Couple Setu is a technology platform that automates the assessment, scoring, and reporting process to assist counsellors in their practice. The Platform does not provide counselling, therapy, or professional advice. It is a tool to make the counsellor's work easier and more structured. The Platform is not responsible for any counselling outcomes, advice given, or therapeutic decisions made by the counsellor.
Certain features of the Platform use artificial intelligence to generate session preparation materials, suggested questions, pattern detection, and personalised advice for clients. All AI-generated content is generic, automated, and provided for informational reference only. It is not a substitute for professional clinical judgement.
The counsellor acknowledges that:
— AI content may contain inaccuracies, inappropriate suggestions, or errors
— AI content does not constitute professional advice and should not be relied upon as such
— The counsellor is solely responsible for reviewing, modifying, or disregarding AI-generated content before using it in client interactions
— No claim of any kind — legal, financial, reputational, or otherwise — may be made against the Platform based on AI-generated content
— The counsellor must exercise their own professional judgement at all times
All advice, guidance, interpretations, action plans, summaries, and recommendations provided by the counsellor to clients are the counsellor's own professional work and responsibility. The counsellor is solely and fully liable for:
— The quality and accuracy of their professional advice
— All therapeutic decisions and recommendations
— Any consequences arising from their counselling sessions
— Compliance with applicable professional ethics codes and regulations
— Maintaining appropriate professional liability insurance (recommended)
— Any legal proceedings, complaints, or claims arising from their professional conduct
The Platform bears zero liability for the counsellor's professional actions, omissions, advice, or outcomes. In no circumstances shall the Platform be named in, or held responsible for, any proceedings arising from the counsellor's professional practice.
To maintain an active profile on Couple Setu, counsellors are required to pay an annual platform fee. The current fee structure is:
— Standard Annual Fee: ₹50,000
— Launch Offer: ₹25,000 (50% discount for early adopters, subject to change)
The annual fee covers: listing in the public counsellor directory, access to the counsellor dashboard, AI session prep tools, report generation, client management tools, and wallet functionality. The fee is non-refundable once paid.
The counsellor sets their own session fee for couple assessments on the Platform. When a couple registers with a counsellor:
— The couple pays the session fee to the Platform
— The Platform retains 20% of the session fee as a platform commission
— The remaining 80% is held in the counsellor's wallet until the session is completed
— Payment is released to the counsellor's wallet after both the counsellor and at least one client mark the consultation as complete
— If neither party marks complete within 30 days of both partners completing the assessment, the hold is auto-released to the counsellor
— The counsellor may request withdrawal of wallet funds to their registered bank account at any time, subject to admin processing
Couples may also register as self-guided (no counsellor) for a flat fee of ₹2,000 paid directly to the Platform. Counsellors do not earn commission on self-guided sessions. However, self-guided couples may later choose to upgrade to a counsellor-guided session by selecting a counsellor from the directory and paying the counsellor's fee.
The counsellor's wallet balance can be viewed at any time on the counsellor dashboard. Wallet funds represent earned commissions from completed sessions and are available for withdrawal.
Clients may rate their experience with the counsellor upon completion of the consultation. Ratings are displayed publicly on the counsellor's profile. The Platform reserves the right to determine the display methodology for ratings. The counsellor agrees not to solicit, coerce, or incentivise clients to provide favourable ratings.
The counsellor agrees to:
— Maintain valid professional qualifications and any required licences
— Respond to new client requests within 48 hours
— Conduct sessions in a professional, ethical, and non-discriminatory manner
— Maintain strict confidentiality of client data and assessment results
— Not share, export, or misuse client data obtained through the Platform
— Not solicit Platform clients for off-platform services during an active engagement
— Report any safeguarding concerns (e.g., domestic abuse, self-harm) to appropriate authorities
The Platform reserves the right to deactivate or permanently remove a counsellor's profile at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to:
— Client complaints or consistently low ratings
— Breach of these Terms of Service
— Professional misconduct or ethical violations
— Failure to respond to client requests
— Non-payment of annual platform fee
— Any conduct that damages the Platform's reputation
Upon deactivation, existing active sessions will be allowed to complete. Wallet balance will be settled within 30 days. No refund of the annual platform fee will be provided.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COUPLE SETU AND SANGO LIFE SUTRA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:
— The counsellor's use of the Platform or its tools
— AI-generated content, suggestions, or recommendations
— Client outcomes, complaints, or legal proceedings
— Technical issues, downtime, or data loss
— Any matter relating to the counsellor's professional practice
The counsellor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Couple Setu, Sango Life Sutra, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to the counsellor's professional practice, advice, conduct, or breach of these Terms.
If the counsellor has any reservations about these Terms, the same must be communicated in writing to info@couplesetu.com before making the annual platform fee payment. By making the payment and commencing use of the Platform, the counsellor is deemed to have accepted these Terms in their entirety.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
